Take a look at some highlights in 2004

Each year the Milngavie Choir spend one whole Saturday rehearsing for the Spring concert. We sing, we eat lunch and in general we have a good time ...
The choir often splits up into different sections. This way, sopranos, altos, tenors and basses get a chance to practise their own scores in more detail and focus on particularly difficult sections.
We sometimes have different people come and help our director Renton with special rehearsals or training days. This year, the choir was particularly happy to welcome Renton's brother Walter, who himself directs a choir in Edinburgh.
The choir breaks for coffee or tea and lunch.
In the Spring, the choir puts on its main performance. In 2004, we performed Mozart's Mass in C minor, and Mendelssohn's Choral Symphony No 2, Hymn of Praise. Nerves always play a role before the choir enters the stage ...
... as they line up by section.
The choir had magnificent support from the orchestra, whose members are all professional musicians. The orchestra also performed an orchestral piece, Mendelssohn's Ruy Blas Overture.
Eminent Scottish soloist sopranos Lois Johnston and Frances Morrison, tenor Alexander Morrison and baritone Walter Thomson enhanced the performance of both choral pieces.
